THIS IS BREAKING NEWS AS BREAKING NEWS NOW AT 4:00 GREENSBORO POLICE HAVE ARRESTED A MAN FOR A MURDER. LAST YEAR, OFFICERS SAY THEY ARRESTED MARLO HIGH FRIDAY FOR THE DEATH OF ERIC BURDON. BURDON WAS FOUND DEAD AT A HOME ON DURHAM STREET IN MARCH OF 2023. HIGH IS BEING HELD WITHOUT BOND IN THE GUILFORD COUNTY JAIL IN WILKES COUNTY. A FORMER TEACHER AND COACH IS FACING MORE THAN 20 CHARGES TONIGHT, ACCUSED OF HAVING SEX WITH STUDENTS, COURT DOCUMENTS SHOW. THE ALLEGATIONS AGAINST DAVID GREGORY DATE BACK TO 2006. THE WILKES COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT TELLS US. GREGORY HAD BEEN EMPLOYED WITH THEM SINCE 2005, WORKING AT BOTH NORTH WILKES MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS. IN WINSTON-SALEM, POLICE SAY THEY NOW HAVE A WARRANT OUT FOR MURDER FOR THE DEATH OF A MAN AT SALEM LAKE PARK EARLIER THIS YEAR. AUTHORITIES FIRST TOOK 40 YEAR-OLD. JERRY HOWARD INTO CUSTODY BACK IN APRIL IN PATRICK COUNTY, VIRGINIA, IN CONNECTION WITH THE DEATH OF 27 YEAR-OLD RODNEY ADAMS, JUNIOR. ADAMS WAS FOUND ON RESPONSIVE AT THE PARK IN MARCH AND DIED A FEW WEEKS LATER. POLICE SAY THEY HAVE SINCE UPGRADED THE CHARGES AGAINST HOWARD, AND HE IS IN CUSTODY IN VIRGINIA AWAITING EXTRADITION BACK TO NORTH CAROLINA. AGENTS AND INVESTIGATORS WITH THE BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, FIREARMS AND EXPLOSIVES ARE HOLDING POST-BLAST TRAINING FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT. RCSO detectives began investigating, and Dustin Moffitt was identified as a person of interest as a result of the investigation.
